The area of specialization in econometrics focuses on the development of methods of inference for econometric models, as well as its application in the analysis and quantification of causal relationships of interest in all areas of the Economy.

We work in econometric modeling with all types of economic data (cross section, time series, data and spatial panels) for the analysis of problems related to consumption, labor economics, industrial economy, economic development, macroeconomics, international economics and finance , among others.

We develop inference methods for microeconometric models with limited dependent variables, for models with fixed effects using data panels and for non-parametric and semiparametric models.

The research lines in Applied economics develop empirical works in all fields of economy in collaboration with specialist in each area applying innovative methodologies for the analysis of everytime more wide availability of quantitative information economy fonts.
