Studies in Regulated Markets are aimed at students and qualified professionals who are interested in obtaining a global overview in the sectors of Energy, Transport or Telecommunications in order to resolve specific regulatory issues and business decision problems.
To achieve this goal, tools and techniques of economic analysis focused on each sector will be developed and used. As a final result, the student will have the capacity to carry out reports and analyses related to evaluation of projects within the sector of his/her specialization.
The teaching program, inspired by the American model of higher education, is structured into courses that transversely allow students to acquire competences in the areas of their interest. The program enables concentrating the class load into a single semester or to distribute it over a year with 2, 3 or 4 days of class per week according to the combination of the courses selected.
Another advantage of this model of studies is that you can obtain a degree with specialization in one of the three key sectors of the economy while also reinforcing some other areas of interest in the field of industrial economics.
This degree can lead to obtaining the Master’s in Industrial Economics and Markets. In addition, these courses qualify as continuous training to apply for jobs and competitive positions in the public sector.
12 Credits to choose between specialization sectorial courses that will define the area of specialization in regulated markets. Thus the student can be a specialist in Economics of the Energy Sector and / or Economy of Telecommunications and Transport:
