Bio

Laurentiu Guinea obtained his PhD from the Complutense University of Madrid. He has been an associate professor at the Complutense University of Madrid, at CUNEF and at the Alfonso X El Sabio University. He currently works as a visiting professor at the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and is a researcher affiliated to the Instituto Complutense Análisis Económico (ICAE). Specialised in the field of macroeconometrics, time series analysis and forecasting, his current research focuses on the business cycle and the impact of news shocks on macroeconomic variables.
